   and there is also an other road going from the same crossroads and it is called the Castlepollard road because it goes to the town of Castlepollard it is about 6 1/2 miles long.

   Long ago when there were very little roads, in this district there was only about one old road it was the road to the town of Oldcastle and I think it was the road from Oldcastle to Dublin and through the fields there were Old passes leading to this road, and there is an Old pass going through our garden and long ago it was a public pass but it is called The Blind Boaleen.

   On my way to school I go through fields belonging to Murdock, and it is through his field that the Old road was made that used to lead to Dublin but it is never used now, it is called the Green Road because it is all green with grass this Old road was divided up
