- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and dance on the fort. There was a woman passing one night and the fairies ere dancing. They asked "Who will dance" and the other fairies answered "Who will only Molly Quinn" and then they brought her up to dance. Molly Quinn was the woman's name. There was an old woman who was also a native of Rathrone and who was supposed to be a friend of the fairies. Every second night she stayed up until everybody else was in bed and then the fairies came and helped her with the churning. She only had to say "Gather far, gather near, gather all round here", and the finest butter used come on the milk. Everybody wondered why she had such good butter, until they found out, and then they would not buy any more.
