- Long ago in Drumshallon there was a skull of a human being found in a wall. A story is told that some boys were passing through the graveyard on their way to school. They would kick the skull before them to school and leave it in a place where they would get in the evening. When they would get out from school in the evening and go to look for the skull to kick it back again they could not find it. When they were coming the next morning they found the skull in the wall where they got it the morning before. Every morning they kicked it to the school and it would go back again to the wall. There is a headstone in Drumshallon graveyard. It is situated inside the church walls. It is a large headstone about six feet long and about three feet wide.(continues on next page)
