    One morning early as day was breaking
    All in the charming sweet month of May,
    With flowery mantle were decorated,
    The fragrant plains all in rich array.

    Across Urker hill as I was ranging
    And speculating the valleys around,
    The lark and linnet their notes was changing
    The thrush engaged me for to sit down
    3.
    A handsome bank it was just convenient
    When pinks and daisies by nature grew,
    I chose that spot of elevation
    For recreation to take my view.

    The lofty mountains I could survey them
    The purling streams and the rivers clear,
    The crystal fountain and billows waving
    The ships sail in from far and near.

    Being reconciled by sweets of nature
    I was preparing to take my way
