    Once upon a time there was a widow woman and her son living in a small house.

    unlucky and that he should not go to play them. One night when he was coming home he met a funeral. There were four men carrying the coffin and he went over to help them. When he went to carry the coffin everyone disappeared. He left the coffin down and he was going away when he though he should look and see what was in it. He opened the lid and he saw a beautiful girl lying in it. He asked her did she know where she was and she shook her head. He lifted her and he took her home with him. When he went home he told his mother all about the girl and she was delighted. The next morning the girl got up and made the breakfast for them. The boy went to play cards ever night and one night when he was going home he passed a fort. As he was passing by, he heard that the fairies were talking about the girl that he had. He heard them saying that some boy took a girl from them but she could not talk. One little man said that if the girl got three drinks out of the bowl that they had on the table she would be no longer dumb. When the
