    In the middle of the fort over the crock of gold there was a large stone.
    So some men came to search for it one day.
    The stone could not be raised up but at a certain time when mass was being celebrated and then only during the Elevation of the Mass.
    The men arranged with the Priest to raise the stone during the Elevation.
    The men came to the fort, and at the of the elevation a great storm arose and the clothes and caps of the people were swept to the steep glen that divides Ballard from Glendine.
    The men then ran after their clothes and did not mind the gold.
    They were dauntless men and did not care for anything.
    They began to dig for the gold and while they were digging for it they saw
