Ar an leathanach seo

  1. St. Lachteen is the patron saint of the Blessed Well near Miltown Malbay.
    His feast day falls on 19th March.
    St Joseph's Day also falls on the 19th March and he being the more important saint of the two, the Blessed Well was called after him instead.
    When St Lachteen was visiting the people around that neighbourhood he found one child that hadn't received the Sacrament of Baptism and failing to get water to baptise the child he made the sign of the cross on the ground.
    Immediately water gushed forth from the earth.
    The spring was then on the eastern side of the river.
    On one occasion an old woman washed clothes with water from the well and next day the well was mysteriously removed to the opposite side of the river where it stands at the
