“Once there was a giant living in a cave near the Burren mountains.”
Once there was a giant living in a cave near the Burren mountains. He used to take sheep and cattle from all the people around. He was very wicked and all the people were afraid of him. One day they made a plan to kill him. They dug a very deep hole near the giant's cave and then they covered it with small sticks and moss and grass. When they had the hole covered they began to shout and the giant heard them. He ran out and he ran towards them. They ran to the far-off side of the hole. The giant ran down from his cave and he fell into the hole. He tried to come up again, but one of the men cut off his
head with a hatchet.
