- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)St. Ruadhan's Well in Lorrha village between the present Protestant Church and Mr John Abbot's. Used now for domestic purposes. The well is of a round shape with stone steps going down into it. It is about 5 feet deep. There is a Cross made of wood over the well wall.
The smallest of three monastic ruins lies opposite the well, on the other side of the road. These monasteries were founded by St Ruadhan, who was also their first abbot, and the relic of whose hand was kept in a silver case until the houses were suppressed in the reign of Henry VIII.- Faisnéiseoir
