    There, in the shadow of the cave, they fought and Lloyd was shot, God rest him. O'Dell flew from the place on horse-back and Lloyd was taken into the house of a man called O'Connell. It belongs to Canon Carroll to-day.
    Two rocks, 21 feet apart, mark the spot where O'Dell and Lloyd fought. I've seen it with my own two eyes' When Lloyd was dying he said: "I wish I had obeyed Fr. Luke and fought in the Chapel field. I couldn't have better luck".
