It is said that if you stick a pin in a snail and rub the snail to a wart it will cure it but after rubbing the wart with the snail you must put the snail under a rock so as to cure it rightly. This must be done for seven days putting the snail under a rock each day and then the wart is supposed to be cured and fall away on its own accord.
It is also said that if you get a burn from a nettle you could take away the pain by rubbing a dock-leaf to the burn.
People say if you put a cobweb on a cut it will prevent it from bleeding. - In Mr. Connolly's field in the townland of Mortalstown, there is a rock, and in this rock there is a hole, in which water is. People say that if you are troubled by warts and rub the water to them(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
