  1. The Dead Hunt got from Mary Canty.
Told to her by her father Pat Canty, Skagh, Croom.
The dead hunt used to come from Tory Hill. The men (all dead) used to take all the young horses from the people living around and go as far as the blacksmith in Kilfinny. They used to call the blacksmith and he had to get up . One night he was slow to get up and the ghost of an old gentleman appeared in the room and dragged him through the window and made him shoe the horses.
From there they galloped to Knockfierna where they had a meet. By dawn the hunters were back in their graves and the horses in their stables. The horses never seemed any the worse for their adventures of the previous night.
