Arise arise you Newtown boys I like your courage well,
Thank God old Ireland yet has men to replace those who fell.II
The dear McBride will think with pride although he is in his grave,
Although he is shot he is not forgot by O Grady and McCabe.III
Although they're boys they do despise the forces of the crown,
May we live to praise in better days those youths from sweet Newtown.IV
