    Food in Olden Days

    The food of the olden days was not like the food of today.
    The people of long ago used potatoes mostly. They had potatoes for their breakfast, dinner, and supper. They used potatoes three times a day and also used stirabout.
    With the stirabout they used milk. There was very little bread used and scarcely any tea. It must have been healthier as they say the people were a deal stronger than they are now and they were able to do very hard work.
    They never drank tea except on Christmas day. It was the only time of the year they drank tea. Even at weddings they never drank it.
    The meal consisted mainly of home made butter and they
