- People were also able to forecast the weather by the sky, the moon, the stars, the clouds, the sun, the winds, the fire and many other signs which indicates bad and good weather.When the sky is very blue it is a sign of good weather. If it is a pale colour we will have fine weather. When it is a grey colour it indicates rain.When there is a haze before the moon it is a sure sign of rain. When the moon is shining brightly we may expect frost. When the first quarter is in and when the rest of the moon is seen in outline it indicates rain.When there are a lot of stars in the sky frost is expected.
