- Home Made ClothesThe clothes which people wear are made locally. The tailor makes them and he is very good to make them. The local tailor’s name is Michael Riordan.. He lives near Kildorrery, Co. Cork and has very nice comfortable house. The sheep supplies the people with the wool. Then the wool is sent to the mill and then it is sent to the spinning woman. The spinning woman spins it by means of a spinning wheel. When the spinning woman has it spun into thread it is sent to the weaver who weaves it into cloth. Then the cloth is sold to the shopkeepers and the people buy it from them. The cloth is sent to the tailor and he makes the clothes. Tailors formerly used to keep a supply of cloth themselves.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
