- (continued from previous page)extraordinary thing took place. The men heard the sound of a great gust of wind rushing along and they found themselves lifted and carried clear over the boundary hedge and landed in the field below. They heard the sound as of stones falling about them when they landed, but on recovering their scattered wits somewhat they found no stones of any kind near them. They were not hurt in any way, but the fright they got caused their hasty departure from the field. They got up to their companion who walked slowly only a short distance and questioned him closely as to anything unusual he had heard or seen. He said he had noticed nothing strange and he certainly did not hear the noise of the wind.
The three men were steady temperate fellows.- Collector
