  1. Wheel Making

    Wheels are made by every carpenter. There are three kinds of timber in a wheel oak, larch, and ash. There is a round block of oak got and the carpenter shapes it and makes a hole in the middle. Then small holes are made in it and spokes of larch are put into it and they are a foot long.
    Then fellahs are made of ash with holes in them and the spokes are put into them. The carpenter paints them if he has paint. A carpenter takes three days to make a pair of wheels. He charges two pounds to make them.
