- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)I heard of an old custom that used to take place at the crossroads. The tax-gatherers used to stand at the cross and gather money from the people that passed, in cars. Those crossroads were called turn pikes.
There was one mass path from Glenanudig Bridge to Cnocán Teamrac. - The names of the principal roads are the Limerick road, The Mountain road, the Ahacross road, the New Line road.
The Limerick road comes from Limerick to Cork. The Mountain road runs as its names says round the Limerick mountain and runs in various directions, also leads to Shanbally-more. The Ahacross road leads to Mitchelstown.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
