  1. In olden times people used to have three meals every day, and they used to consist of Stirabout for their breakfast potatoes for their dinner and very often potatoes for their supper.
    The people used to be out to work before six o clock in the morning and then come to their breakfast at eight o clock.
    Sometimes people used to have potatoes for every meal. Long ago people used to make a meal with potatoes and a bowl of sour milk and also they used to drink a good share of Butter milk.
    When there were a large family the table was usually placed in the centre of the floor.
