(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)April. When they come we know the Summer is near. They build their nests in out houses. Their nests are built of mud and hay. Some Swallows line their nests with feathers. They lay five blue eggs. They take about three weeks to hatch them.
They go away in September. Any weak Swallows do not go away at all. They stay in woods or by the sea coast.
The Cuckoo comes also in April. She is the the colour of a Hawk. She lays her egg on the ground and carries it in her beak to another bird's nest. When you see the Cuckoo flying you would see two birds following. These birds are the foster parents of the Cuckoo.
The Grouse come for the winter. They are the colour of a Pheasant and the size of a Pheasant. They usually stay in mountains. They go in pairs - you will never see a single one.
