    to try to move a step I'd be levelled down on the ground and 'me' hands were all scraped with the sand do ye mind. An' there was th 'ould' fort all the time 'divel' a bit of change ever came over that, but everywhere else was covered up with hills of sand. At long an' at last what did I do but knelt down, an' asked God to take me out of the terrible fire I was in, an' 'twas'nt long till things began to clear, an' the sand all vanished away, an' there 'war' the fields an' burshes an' every single thing just the same as I saw them before I got the quare feelin'.
    Well I go home somehow, but I was in bed for near a month after an' hardly able to eat a bite an' from that day to this I would'nt be got within an asses' roar of the 'ould' for a second after dark, no not if I was 'tould' there was a Leipreacain set in every corner of it, an 'aich' of them
