    Travelling Folk
    Nowadays travelling people go around from house to house. They are very poor. The small articles such as cans, saucepans, mirrors and collarpins, badges, etc. The people always buy from them. Some of them are able to buy them in shops and others are able to make them.
    They are generally welcome to the houses. The travelling people sleep in caravans and some of them in houses. They have horses and caravans for going about. The(y) travel in families and sometimes in bands.
    The best known of them are the Bauleys and McDonagh's. The Bauleys visit our District most. They come generally in summer. Some of them tell stories and bring news from Distant parts. The local people never gather around to hear them.
