Ar an leathanach seo
- There was a small cask of gold hidden in a place called Lognamail in which is a round deep pond of water to the north side of the big castle in Castlemore.
It was placed there by one of my forefathers called Healy who lived there and owned those lands in his time. A band of robbers came to him one night.
He rushed out with the little cask of gold, rolled it into the pond and it was never found since. It was dragged several times but owing to it's depth at the time it could never be found. The last attempt which was made to find it was made by my grandfather about twenty-five years ago. He dragged the pond with a fishing rod having a large crook on the end of it, but he did not succeed in getting the gold and it is there to this very day.
