  2. The Capuchin Church
    The date of the Capuchin's first foundation in Kilkenny is believed to be about sixteen forty three, and the site would appear to have been in St. Michael's Lane, adjoining the Priory of St. John. We do not know the exact date at which the Order came to the present Friary Street.
