One night as Michael Connolly was rambling at a neighbour's house a man ran in and told him that his brother was dying and when he would be going home to call in that he wanted to send a message to a friend. After an hour he left to go to his friend's house. As he was passing by the Gullet he heard terrible trotting of horses. He stood and they approahed him. Ladies, gents, and children all on horse-back chatting and laughing just like the huntsmen of today. When they came to Mr. Hawe's gate it opened for them and they all passed through and when
