    Once there lived in Kiltullagh a man who had a bank there. There lived along with him his wife, a child, and a servant girl. There were iron doors and windows in the bank. One night the man went to Castlerea. He left the other three in the house. At ten o'clock robbers came in. The two women had a pot of water down in the fire as they were going making a churning.
    They went out to the robbers and they left the child after them. The robbers said they would scald the child if the woman did not give them the money. The woman refused. So the robbers took the child, and scalded it to death but still the woman did not give them the money.
