People know when the churning is made because you can see small lumps of butter floating on the top of the butter-milk. In winter their is hot water put in the churning when it is nearly made and in summer their is cold water put in it. It takes from quarter of an hour to half an hour to make it. When it is made it is taken out and washed and salted and made into a roll or prints. The butter-milk is used in different ways some of it is used for making cakes and the rest given to the pigs.- Bailitheoir
