  1. There is a portion of the road leading from Sneem to Fermoyle supposed to be haunted. At both sides of this particular spot in eh road there are two large graves and the people who died during the onslaught of the Danes are supposed to be buried there. Lights are often seen there at night time.
    One moon-light night a man from the village was coming home from Sneem. When he came to this portion of the road a great darkness enveloped the earth all round him. He felt as if human hands seized him round the body
