When the priest saw her his anger rose and he became very vexed he turned the old woman into a statue sitting down dressed in a hooded cloak as it was the custom then. The two buaircíní grew into two white thorn trees partly united at the back of the statue of the old woman. Strange to say this old united tree never changed its appearance during the memory of the eldest man.
