The two gentlemen mentioned in my story lived in Greaghglass Lane some time ago.
- About thirty years ago there was a goose on our farm which was very fond of our ploughman and she followed him everywhere he went. She even met him at his house every morning and left him home every night. When he went to plough she followed him up and down the score.
He thought this a very bad sign and that some misfortune would happen to him so he chased the goose and sometimes flung her over the hedge but he still kept saying to her. "My lady, Christmas is coming and we will get rid of you", and so he(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
