    He stayed away for a month until his eye got better and his anger cooled.
    During this time their was a severe snow storm, the poor old shirt was still there. When the man came home he saw the shirt so he walked over to it and addressing it he said "ah" my poor fellow but you are suffering all for the want of being taken in".
    The two gentlemen mentioned in my story lived in Greaghglass Lane some time ago.

  2. About thirty years ago there was a goose on our farm which was very fond of our ploughman and she followed him everywhere he went. She even met him at his house every morning and left him home every night. When he went to plough she followed him up and down the score.
    He thought this a very bad sign and that some misfortune would happen to him so he chased the goose and sometimes flung her over the hedge but he still kept saying to her. "My lady, Christmas is coming and we will get rid of you", and so he
