Ar an leathanach seo
- We have two acres of land at home and as we have not any cattle or sheep, we put it all under potatoes. My father prepares the ground himself and some-times when I have any spare days from school I give him some help.
The potatoes are sown in drills in my district but in small gardens they are sown in ridges or on the flat. A drill is made by raising the earth about a foot from the surface of the ground, made with a spade or plough, wide at the bottom and slanting in at the top.
When the drill is made the manure is spread on top of the manure. Then the clay is covered in on top the potatoes.
After about a fortnight the potatoes appear up(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
