The "Rathbeagh Road" is a bye-road leading from the main road to Rathbeagh and Inch. Long ago fairs were held on this road and a fight always took place there. At one time, a girl was struck with a stone and killed and after that, the fairs were held in Kilkenny. All these roads were made as relief works during the famine times. "Ballinamara Road" is also a very ancient road leading from the pillar box to Ballinamara and to Kilkenny. During the time of Cromwell a battle was fought some place about Ballinamara and so
