  1. There are a lot of beliefs with regard to the weather as signs observed in the sky. When there is an eclipse of the moon it is a sign of approaching storm. or when a ring is round the moon it is also a sign of a storm. When the stars are glittering in the sky it is said that is for frost, and the clouds are near the earth there is going to be rain. When red cloud are seen in the sky we are going to have fine weather. There is an old saying, a rainbow in the morning is a shepherd's warning, and a rainbow at night is a shepherd's delight.
When the wind is whistling through the key hole of the door we are going to have rain.
When the swallows are flying low, or when the curlews are crying that's for rain. When asses or sheep shout that is also for rain. When the cat is sitting with her back to the fire that is a sign of a coming storm. When a dog eats grass that's for rain.
When you see the dust flying along the road it is a sure sign of rain. When the smoke goes up straight from the chimney it is also a sign of rain.
