Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The townland in which I live is so called because of a Lios which is in the locality. It was owned by a man named OBizen and so the name of the surrounding district is Lissivigeen.
    The Lios is surrounded by a high ditch and many oak trees grow in it. The field in which it is in is (called) never tilled and a tree in never taken from within it because the people say this Lios is the abode of fairies and that it is not right to interfere with them.
    About a mile from this Lios is a similar one except that it is enclosed by three large dykes each making a circle outside each other. People say it was the Danes who built this Lios others say it was used by the Irish when fleeing from the Danes.
    About a mile to the north west of Lissivigeen school is a small field and in this field five large stones stand in a circle and two larger ones at a distance from them.
    It is believed that these five stones were children once and were dancing for their
