  1. There is a holy Well in Ballyheige. It is called St. Marys Well. A long time ago there was a family, named Stanley. They were black Protestants and lived near the Hold Well. There was a green-spotted trout in the well and anyone who saw the trout were cured from their sickness. The eldest son in the Stanley Family was very wicked. He brough a dog with to the Well. When the dog saw the trout he jumped into the
