    The vertical rods are much longer than are required for the height of the basket & now the portions of these not woven into are bent down horizontally & inserted very firmly in the weaving to form the framework for the bottom of the basket. Rods are then interwoven among these horizontal rods & so the bottom of the basket is made. The completed basket is now lifted from the green sod and the necessary parings are done. The basket is now ready for use. The making takes only about two hours.
