  1. I took this story from the mouth of Jim Donoghue, Ballinard.
    Two men were coming home from rambling one night. They had to cross a kiln on their way home. Just as they were drawing near the kiln they saw a huge pig feeding on top of it. Anything was never before seen on that spot because a bird couldn’t stand on it. It would fall down and be dashed to pieces.
    The following day the two men said they would go to see where they saw the pig.
    They went and there was not a trace of the pig to be seen, and there was no pig in that town land at that time. The pig they had seen ....
