  1. In the month of February 1891 we had a terrible blizzard in Ireland. Snow fell on some places in Kerry to four feet, it even came in through the hey holse of the doors. The fields and ditches were one level.
    Cattle and sheep were lost, and the owners were searching for them but they were not found until the snow thawed.
    Harry Walsh a man that was living near Abby Dorney was smutered in the snow and died.
