  2. There is a fair held in Ballinafad four times per year and at this fair the farmers have to pay "toll" to a man who is waiting outside the town. They have to pay one shilling on pigs and sheep and one and sixpence on cattle. Farmers pay luck-money on every beast that is bought from them. In order to distinguish their cattle
