- People of this locality need not wait to hear the weather forecast on the Radio or the newspaper for they can judge the weather by different signs.
In our own house we always watch on November Day to see if the wind blows on the front of the house (which faces south) and if it does, it is a sure sign of a bad weather.
The different actions of domestic animals are observed by the farmer as signs of the weather. If the horses, cows or donkeys stand with their backs to the ditch or tree it is a sign of rain. If the cat sits with her back to the fire or if she scrapes timber it is considered a sign of rain. Another sign of rain is when the dog eats grass.
