Some of the wedding day customs are for the bride to go out on one door and come in on the other.
The bride used to wear something old and something new something borrowed and something blue. Straw-boys used to visit the houses and would not go away until they would get money.
They wore straw-hats and straw aprons. When the married pair were going home old people threw the tongs after them for good luck.
They threw confetty and rice at them also. Those attending the wedding usually brought presents to the bride(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
