idea of a member of an alien religion spreading false stories about his church.
"But father I tell the truth, I tell what I saw."
"Will you come with me there to-night."
    "Certainly."
That night saw both waiting patiently for the midnight.
At the stroke of twelve the old priest appeared as before and put the same question.
"Is there anyone to serve Mass."
    "Yes" said the parish Priest.
He went forward and served two masses there in the night for the old priest.
Then the latter came to the foot of the altar.
"I am Father Brady" he said, "I am dead this sixty years. I received tokens for two masses which I forgot to say. I am barred out of heaven until these are said. Now I go straight to Eternal Glory."
It is said that afterwards the priest and Englishman found the actual stipend or token book and found a check against all except two masses said by Father Brady.
The Englishman was converted and the above story was told by himself when giving a mission in the same Church 40 years afterwards.
