    John Kearns, Lowberry, Ballinlough, Roscommon was suffering from scurvey in the face and body for six weeks. He had visited the doctor but had got no relief. He was told to visit a man named Conneely, Boyunagh, Glenamaddy Galway. The latter looked over the body and face. He applied nothing but simply put his hand on the face and parts of the body that were affected and the man was cured. Conneely is the seventh son of his family. This man one day saw a worm crawling on the road, he put a circle round it and the worm died.
