  1. Styes.
    Get nine gooseberry thorns and point them to sty stayings [sic?] "In the name of the Father", etc.
    Another cure for styes is:
    to take the wedding ring of a person and rub it on the sty, saying "In the name of Father", etc. The person's name must be Mary and she must not be any kind of a relation.
    Blessed cream for erysipelas. Rub it on the affected place.
    Weak hearts.
    Collect some "mother dandelion" wash it and dip in salt and give to the person to eat.
    Collect young nettles and prepare them like cabbage. Taken three times during the Spring to clear your blood for the Summer.
    Ring-Worm.
    Fresh churned butter unwashed and unsalted for ring-worm.
