   When the seagulls fly inland it is a sign of a storm.
   The robin is called robin red breast because her breast is red and the rest of her body is brown.
   The (mg) magpie is so called because her feathers are coloured black and white.
   The cuckoo is so called because when she is flying she says "cuckoo". When she is flying, there is always a trail of birds behind her. It is said that the cuckoo turns into a hawk in the winter. The cuckoo builds no nest and when she selects an other bird's nest to place her egg in, she lays the egg in a field nearby. While it is soft she carries it to the nest in her throat and leaves it in the nest.
   The wagtail is so called because she is continually wagging her tail.
