  2. One of the old ruins now in existence is the "Old Castle"
This castle is situated on a hill overlooking the town. It is not for its beauty we mention it, but for its historical history. It was in this castle that the Bishop of Raphoe dwelt, called Bishop Gloucester. This castle was burned in the year 1831. Some people say it was burned accidentally and others say it was purposeally. In the castle there are underground cells to be found. There are nothing but ruins now but it must have been very beautiful before it was burned.
Near this castle there is a monument shaped like a spire set up
