- When a man is milking a cow in the byre if anyone comes in to it and does not say “good luck” to the cows, that milk could never be churned because butter would never come even if the milk was to be churned for a week.
If one was churning and someone came into the house and did not say “good luck” to the work and give a brash at the churn, butter would never come of the milk because it is said that the person is talking away the butter, but if one got a piece of the cloth of his coat and set it on fire and then put it in front of the cow and if the cow roared it is a sure sign that that the people are guilty.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
