May Day - no cleaning on this day, no throwing out water, ashes etc; lucky to bring in something to a house this day.
A man coming in is lucky, if a woman comes in as a first visitor, it is unlucky. No milk is given to anybody on May day. In case a neighbour is short of milk and was being supplied(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
